Signs of Bed Bugs
Know what to look for
Our Rentokil colleagues found in a recent Travel Survey conducted in the UK that 1 in every 10 people have encountered bed bugs while travelling overseas! It is a traveller’s biggest fear: waking up in a hotel bed (or even your own bed!) with the telltale bites and droplets of blood on the sheets.
In fact, the majority of travellers taking part in the survey said they won’t stay at an establishment if an online review on a travel website such as Expedia or Trip Advisor mentions bed bugs.
The more Jamaicans travel abroad and international travellers visit the country, the more chances there are of a bed bug infestation in Jamaica hotels and homes. In fact, most travellers did not realise that bed bugs could travel with them once they have left an infested establishment. That shows the importance of having the experts in pest control as your bed bug fighting partner.
Whether they’re in your home or hotel, bed bugs are an unwanted (and terrifying) guest. All ‘beds’ are at risk, but especially those hotels with a large number of international travellers, or if you’re a frequent traveller yourself.
Early detection and innovative solutions (such as our chemical-free heat treatment) ensure that bed bugs do not spread to other parts of your building.
Rentokil are the experts in bed bug control across Jamaica. Our bed bug experts have extensive local knowledge and are backed by 85 years of global experience, so you can be sure that your hotel’s reputation or your family’s health are in safe hands.
